HISTORICAL TOURIST CIRCUIT

EL KALAT (The castle) bears the name of “CHEIKH BOUAMAMA” (1838 – 1908), one of the greatest heroes of the popular resistance in Algeria, is characterized by its defensive system and its war towers designed to monitor and stand up to the harsh climate and changes in nature.
EL KALAT is also characterized by its character of hierarchical engineering.
The detention camps remain the best witness to the ferocity of the revolution and the valor of its sons in the region, which forced the brutal colonizer to cram them into detention centers, to say the least that they would be a stain on his forehead. Fixed and clearly defined, attested by a great cultural heritage
It is also the story of the glorious liberation revolution and the resistance it witnessed, especially the resistance of BANI SAMIR and AMZI, in which the brutal colonialist used internationally banned napalm bombs, to the story of a martyr who is not dead.
