DOUIS detention center
It is located at the foot of Mount AMZI, which embraced several clashes between the mujahideen and the French colonialist from November 1959 to May 6, 1960 the battle of crossing the barbed wire at JABAL BOUAMOUD during which 82 martyrs were martyred, 40 martyrs were were burned in the Napalm bombings and 11 mujahideen captured.
700 French soldiers were eliminated out of 16,000 in this battle.
Center of Détention of “Station”, DJENIEN BOUREZG
Political Detention Center during the French colonial period from 1938 to 1945, currently operated by border guards, remains the best witness to the ferocity of the revolution and the valor of its sons in the region.
DZIRA detention center
The prison was opened on August 19, 1960 for one month (it was closed on 09/21/1960). It was used as a control center to monitor the orchards and inhabitants of DZIRA and monitored the movements of the army and people to and from DJBEL MEKHTER.
