Dinosaur fossil site (ROUIS EL DJIR)

Fossils of DINOSAURS are located at ROUIS EL DJIR, 50 km south-east of AIN SEFRA. It was discovered in 1999, during the excavation program of the Research and Development Center (SONATRACH Foundation) 03 dinosaur fossil sites were identified, it was officially announced on 10/17/2000. The excavation work began in March 2001, with the help of a French fossil scientist PHILIPPE TAKI who was able to collect more than 300 bones and vertebrae, the bone is composed of 700 bones, its name is: Géant De Ksour, the SAUROPODA family, a small, herbivorous dinosaur. Between 8 and 9 meters long (Juvenile)
